You and your "powerful advocates" have a great opportunity next Tuesday.

The "Free Cheese Express" is coming to Buffalo! You can go compete with all the other Rats and tell them why you want a slice!!!!!
The "Free Cheese" term coined by Cgood, and adopted by you is really cool. You guys should patent it. It might go good at the supermarket.

    Don't change the subject.......

YOU want a bike path, do YOU want to raise taxes or steal the cheese from another subsidized program to pay for it?

It really is a simple question. I can't phrase it any easier than that.....

It is not a subject change. A bike path is part of a movement to a greener environment. The same with public transportation, and energy efficient vehicles. What is more energy efficient than a bicycle?
Think of your money as seed money toward a greener tomorrow.

place the bike paths on the shoulders of the roads. dont take more land off the tax rolls. why spend millions creating new public funded drains to a system that is already bankrupt. the game is conservation not building bike baths through the woods and fields. rip up the tracks and let the land revert to the wilds like it once was. conserve the natural land like it should be. dont build artificial trails through it As for alternative energy rural raods are perfect for bikes. just get on one and ride you dont need to spend millions making loose ballast suitable for bikes

Not good enough. Got to have the bike path. It is a symbol of a greener tomorrow.
The land is abandoned, and not on the tax roll now. It would be like giving the neighboring properties tax free land.

    It fits!!!!

Since CGood isn't here, I'll try to phrase it the best I can...

You money loving Socialists are going to learn that you're going to the well one too many times! You can't just keep on extorting money for every little pet project you desire. In case you haven't noticed we are in a recession, have a county control board and the State is facing a budget deficit in the BILLIONS!

People are getting sick of it! Instead of trying to impose your will by spending money, why not do your community some good and use your efforts to help your community save money?

just about as symbolic as the thousands of tax payers leaving the area because of symbols like this . the idea is to get people to ride bikes instead of driving cars. a bike bath way out in nowhere land does not solve this. bike paths on the road shoulders would if you want people to ride bikes give them routes to work not out in the country going the wrong way

Blah, Blah, Blah....When are you going to learn that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Out efforts are to help the community discover what is good for it, if it takes a hundred or thousand years. Time is on our side. You dinosaurs will just disappear in time.

It is not a bike path to NOWHERE. Everywhere is somewhere with its own unique beauty.
It probably will be a tourist destination bringing in millions into the local economies.

"Needs of many"... What is the "need"? Sounds like a "WANT" to me....

And who are these people that feel they have to show the community what is good for it? Especially when they are going to show us by spending probably Millions of taxpayers dollars???

so how do you pay for it? How do you pay to have police patrol it? who pays to maintain it?

Do you think fat people are suddenly going to think hmmm i have a bike path a mile away let's go for a walk? But at the same time they have hundreds of miles of road out side there house?

This isn't about being green, it's about using what you ALREADY HAVE and not building more. You must love NYS because it's mentalities of idiot like you that have us overspending!

our roads in OP have bike paths that people used to get to school, get to work go shopping or what ever they do. the railway bike bath would start at the train station and go south avoiding everything except the ski resorts. cant see riding a bike with my skis on my back. this route would not remove any cars from the road . it might even add more as people drive to the bike path so they can ride their bikes. bike paths on the roadways would remove cars
