No, that's just the Cheek. Central district. We also have Maryvale, Cleveland Hill, and Cheek-Sloan. Yes, disturbingly enough, there are 4 totally separate school systems in Cheektowaga. Where did you get the info you've put up? I've tried to find info regarding the May budget vote in the Maryvale district, but have only found the date it will be held with no budget specifics. I'm back up to 3 jobs right now, so I haven't had a lot of time available to really dig.

I apologize, I don't know the Cheektowaga school system like I do with the City of Buffalo, and I just learned something new today.

ooh, I forgot to give the link.

There's four other school districts that operate in the town as well; Williamsville, Lancaster, Depew, and West Seneca.

Here's a map of the school districts in wny.

You have got to be kidding me. You mean there are 8 districts? How is it possible to have so many "districts" in one municipality?

And some people thought there was too much duplication of services in the City of Buffalo.

30, or so, school districts for a county of 1 million people.

Yet, when consolidation or regionalism is mentioned, most everyone bitches.

And, yet, like a bunch of dopes, we wonder why our taxes are so high???

Buffalo still has the largest population of Erie County and we have just one public school district.
