IN PREPARING THE BUFFALO REPUBLIC MOVEMENT I AM CONCERNED THAT THE PEOPLE OF BUFFALO WILL NOT GET INVOLVED. THERE IS A LOT TO DO THAT MUST TRANSEND LOCAL POLITICAL AGENDAS, PARTY POLITICS, UNION AGENDAS, STATE / FED ISSUES AND LARGE BUSINESS COMMITTMENT ISSUES.
THE REPUBLIC OF BUFFALO MOVEMENT IS A UNIFYING CONCEPT REQUIRING THE PEOPLE OF BUFFALO AND WNY TO STAND UP TOGETHER IN ORDER TO REMEDY THE ISSUES DESCRIBED ON THIS WEB SITE.
THIS WILL REQUIRED STRONG AND FOCUSED ACTIVISM.
THE ISSUES FACING WMY ARE THE SAME AS THEY WERE 10 YEARS AGO. LITTLE HAS CHANGED... IS IT BECAUSE PEOPLE DONT HAVE CONFIDENCE THAT CHANGE CAN HAPPEN.....IS IT BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE SO TIGHTLY LINKED TO A POLITICAL PARTY OR UNION AGENDA.......OR IS THAT PEOPLE JUST DONT CARE!!
MY HOPE IS THAT PEOPLE DONT HAVE CONFIDENCE THAT CHANGE CAN HAPPEN.......THUS THE REPUBLIC OF BUFFALO MOVEMENT CAN PROVIDE A UNIFIED APPROACH WITH SPECIFIC ACTIONS...........BUT IF THE SITUATION IS THAT PEOPLE JUST DONT CARE THEN THE SITUATION IS HOPELESS......ANYONES THOUGHTS!!!!!

Mr. republic, this website is here to allow resident to voice thier concerns which you are. But, our goal is not to make buffalo a indepentant state. If it happens it happens but i dont want the general public assuming we are pushing for a state of Buffalo.. etc..

Yes it take some extra effort to fix all the wrongs in WNY. THeres a lot.
What do you think about full audits of the lottery, OTB etc? Wouldn't you just love to see the administration cost associated with them?
What is your view of a lot of the patronage jobs in the county? THink the erie county water authority could use a audit?
The control board should be a Buffalo/Erie County control board. Would be easier to monitor duplication of services. Opps but then we are traveling onto another gangs turf...

Sorry for yelling...I get passionate about this mess.........all your points are well made.... partonage jobs, administrative overhead etc......you hit the nail on the head...dealing with the gangs that continue to drain the blood out of the system.......need to go after them and call them what they are...self serving gangs!!!!..

Wouldn't it be fun to sit the mayor, giambra, the buffalo school super and say, so why are you taking so much for your services?
We would get "We feel we are giving the community the service they are paying for" Just a crock.
