By unanimous vote the Lancaster Central School District Board of Education (BOE) approved the 2012-13 budget.
The resolution recommendation read:
We have examined the budget and present a proposal of $91,513,002.
In terms of the impact, this budget reflects an increase of $3,911,585 or 4.47% in expenditures.
This would reflect an estimated tax increase of 1.51% or ($.24/$1,000 assessed value) in Lancaster.
Estimated Tax Rate: Lancaster $ 16.12; an increase of $0 .24
Cheektowaga $ 25.99; an increase of $ 0.38
Elma $340.92; an increase of $4.95
The budget maintains all educational programs.
The next scheduled BOE meeting takes place on May 7, 2012 at the High School Auditorium.
