Town Park 4th Celebration cancelled except for fireworks

The police chief has apparently prevailed on convincing the town to cancel the 4th of July carnival out of concerns about gang activities in "close quarters."

Fireworks will go on as in the past.

That's funny... Remember the literature that was sent out in behalf of the the "democrats" about the republicans? The republicans were going to cancel events and picnics..... It was really "democrats"....

My understanding is that it was the police chief who lobbied for the cancellation claiming the close quarters and the number of gang members identified at the carnival last summer made it unsafe for the general population. his presentation made it impossible to act otherwise.

You think Ted Wozniak opposed the idea?

Yes, Ted Wozniak can run on the platform "to hell with the police - bring back the 4th carnival! Hell, we can hire George Zimmerman to take care of the critters - he's experienced and will work a lot cheaper than those unionized cops!"
