Cuomo will not allow that. He knows that taxes in NYS are out of hand. NY'ers come first before people from MI.
The state of Michigan created a new law that limits cash assistance to welfare recipients to 4 years. The law was signed in JUly to go in effect October 1.
It is expected to save the state of Michigan $60,000,000 annually.
A federal judge halted the program for now due to recipients not receiving enough advance notice to adjust to their new circumstances.
When Michigan is free to enact this law, will NY receive an influx of Michigan welfare recipients?

There has to be... it would never end if there weren't rules to follow.

Didn't the supposed federal "welfare reform" back in the Clinton administration limit welfare to 5 years? What happened to that?
Apparently loop holes and the politicians figured out other avenues to take money from one group of people and hand it to others... Don't take me wrong. There is nothing wrong with helping the very elderly, the disabled, people with true mental issues and children who don't have parents or who have useless parents. Doesn't mean you pay people who work taking care of these people and their benefits so much that taxes cause businesses to flee the state.
