    The Niagara Falls Mayor

So when is a loan a loan versus when a loan is really a bribe?

When you're not asked to give it back and hide on your contribution disclosures....

Sorry, but Vince Anello is toast.

Then why is he still in office and not in the toaster yet? Are all the other possible "government" people who could be involved in this type of stuff covering their tracks?

So we should make a laundry list for Mr. Spitzer.

We have the NF Mayor, George in the legislature...

Thats what we should do. We should make Mr. Spitzers job as efficient as possible

Former Falls mayor receives 13-month prison sentence

Former Niagara Falls Mayor Vince V. Anello was sentenced to 13 months in federal prison today for filing false statements with an electrical workers union.

U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny also ordered Anello to repay $55,273 to the union, $10,000 of which Anello has already repaid.

Anello, who had been the subject of federal investigations for years, pleaded guilty in September to a felony charge of filing false documents with Local 237 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

    Mayor Dyster

is a wonderful person. Since his office he has opened up the gates for development and cautious restoration of Niagara Falls. I praise his patience and diligence to overcome years, decades of corruption that has kept development at bay.

I wish him luck in the upcoming elections. Hey look at what was before him~~~~true nasties in the past. Dyster is intellegent and has morals. You should make sure you vote for someone with integrity.

Anello comes to terms with fall from grace

13 months in prison haven't tempered trademark feistiness of former Falls mayor as he expresses regret about a mistake but bristles at any hint of corruption

    Updated: February 22, 2012, 10:20 AM

NIAGARA FALLS — A federal investigation removed Vince Anello from his perch atop this city's political scene. But 10 months in prison hasn't tempered the former mayor's feisty nature or consumed his life with regret.

"One act makes me a criminal? Maybe by the title — [but] that's not who I am," Anello said Tuesday. "I don't believe that's my legacy."

In his first interview since his December release from a minimum-security federal prison in Cumberland, Md., Anello expressed remorse about the false statements he filed with an electrical workers union that resulted in a 13-month sentence.

"Yes, of course, I regret what I did," he said. "But you can do something wrong and not have criminal intent."
