    Lightbulb Recruitment Plumbers and Steamfitters

    Plumbers and Steamfitters Recruit Apprentices

    The Plumbers and Steamfitters Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee, Local 267, will conduct recruitment from November 26, 2008 through April 22, 2009 for 12 pipefitter apprentices, State Labor Commissioner M. Patricia Smith announced today.

    Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities.
    In other words, if you're a qualified white male, DON'T BOTHER!

    What's wrong with trying to encourage minorities to apply and diversifying your work force?
