Try the Eppie Rolls at laBella. Sausage, peppers & onions wrapped in a triangle of dough and baked, then eaten with a side of some of the best sauce in buffalo (better than Chef''s)
EVERYTHING is good at labella. I love the veal parmesan. It's too much for even me to eat.
Ey Paisano! Mama Mia! Youz guys donno nuttin. Their are only tu good Itralian tratorria's in all of WNY and dey are bot on Hertel avenue.
Numeral Ino. Romeo & Julietta's
Numeral Duo. Garangelo's
All the others listed here are like THE OLIVE GARDEN; that is cooking Italian out of a cook book!
Well, you are usually right, but our beloved Labella Sicilia is owned and operated by first generation Sicilian immigrants - which is the criteria (authenticity) you used while ranking your choices (I agree with you that the food is great). When I first went there about 15 years ago, most of the personnel & the chef couldn't even speak english.

Let me tell you my "immigrant Italians" at Romeo & Julietta's are Napolise! So there. That trumps your southern Italian cooking anytime.
And besides....I have never met ANY Italian food that wasn't good!
Buono Notte!
i dont like anything with noodles.
Fortuna's on 19th Street in NIagara Falls. I haven't found any place else with anchioves red sauce.
Truth springs from argument among friends.
Chef's still rocks; the most consistently good food around. Santasieros is good too but not in the same league.
