    Cool Did this really happen?

Someone told me that at the West Seneca Town Board Meeting last Monday (10/6), Councilman Dale Clarke called Supervisor Wally Piotrowski "a Communist".

Is this really true? Did Clarke apologize afterwards?

I believe Mr. Clarke's exact words to Mr. Piotrowski were "What are you, a communist?"

Wally should have responded .....No, but I'm willing to learn.

Anyone notice the sudden influx of Winchester V.F. finding gainful employment courtesy of the town ?

And to think "Clarkie" once villified Paul Clark for his friends and family approach to hiring.
A remark should only hurt within it's proportion of what is true.

What I noticed was that the Supervisor did not recuse himself on the issue of the TB retaining outside counsel which is necessitated, at least in part, by his adverse interest in the matter.

Obviously, Dale's meaning was "Are you against representitive government?" Giving that context, no it did not "really" happen.

DT yet again demonstrates his command of the law. To think, to DT law is just a hobby.

    Funny thread.

I knew the would-be Communist when we were kids and let me just throw this in for someone who knows psycho babble.

Isn't there a mental condition where people who were really nerdy as kids and then find themselves in a leadership role as adults turn into wicked control freaks? I'm not being facetious here, I'm totally serious.

I think maybe that's what the people of West Seneca are dealing with.

I think it's a bit odd how the first budget proposal under a new administration in over 15 yrs. in town that has no proposed town tax increase could go without a reference of any kind in here. It's odd to me, because suffice to say, if there had been an increase proposal of any kind the new majority minions would have a field day in here roasting Wally.

The steady loss of vacant structures shows that buildings of the past need a useful purpose in the present to better ensure their survival — whether that means turning an 1860s West Seneca schoolhouse into a meeting place for local artists, or converting the 1840s home of Ebenezer Society leader Christian Metz into AmeriCorps headquarters in West Seneca.
