    Poll: Socialist Apathy

Just want to get an idea of who understands this:

Given big government republicans in office at this time the answer is yes.
    McCain is a Republican socialist.

In and of itself is oxymoronic

I don't agree that socialism is necessarily a cause of apathy.

    I agree.
Empathy would be a more appropriate word for this use.

Man, this place just gets dumber and dumber.
One beautiful thing about having a government of the corporations, by the corporations, and for the corporations is that every disaster is measured in terms of economic loss. It's sort of like getting your arm sheared off in a car accident and thinking, "Damn, now it'll take longer to fold the laundry" as blood spurts from your arteries. - The Rude Pundit

Another thing that's funny. . . Most of you still don't seem to have the slightest clue as to what socialism is. The bailout is not socialist. If it was, the government would see a benefit.

I already know what socialism means and why I would be happy to kill it.

So why dont you, Raoul Duke and Zanna, just go ahead and tell me what you think socialism is and why you defend it without giving any of us your usual shady bull crap.

    Thumbs up Don't target me

Don't target me in the wrong circle.

Why do you think I'm here with capitalism? You know what happened to the USSR and why? Don't you?

Then you need to start making clear which side you are on when responding to a topic "before" you go on and on with answering questions with questions. You're not mothering children or selling a house here.

    so·cial·ism (ssh-lzm)
    n.
    1. Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.

a free market would have allowed the corrupt organizations to fail, not force its citizens to bail them out.

I chose my side when I decided to stay here. It was not easy when we faced and were under deportation proceedures. But we stayed and this is my side. Some local people don't respect and appreciate what they've got here. They complain and whine, but are affraid to leave and try to live somewhere else. They are weak in spirit and have no hope.

There's always a way from no way. There's always a solution and breathtaking light at the end of any tunnel. This is my way, my view and my side. Is it clear to you now, Sylvan?

raoul duke who conditioned and instilled you with such blindness? I would like to know so those abusers and institutions can be bankrupted and demolished. The bailout, among true patriots, should be taken as a declaration of civil war.

If the Feds actually was Socialist, they would take over the banks, fire all the jerks and take their assets to cover for the losses, and then give them a job as a street cleaner for 10 years.

That is exactly what is being proposed now in the guise of a bailout.
The Fed "WE!" are tho ones who will hold the debt and impose regulation and control over leading. That is socialist no matter what you think or say.
    See definition above
