A recent letter to the editor implied that both major party candidates support requiring mandatory national service. I did not think it was true.

Requiring all Americans to serve is a good idea

The wish of our two presidential candidates for Americans to volunteer in either the military or a service organization brings to mind the first sentence learned in a typing class: Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.

Since Mildred Orrange seems to think this is the case, what is everyones feeling about the draft? Should only men be required to serve, as Mildred seems to believe?

I just applied last month to enlist in the Army National Guard, but was turned down due to age restrictions.

1967 I had a low draft number so I enlisted in The USCG Best move i ever made. The draft turned the dysfunctional in to some darn good leaders.Now since it is popular for women to Join the Military I say bring the draft back. I bet the Femi Nazis cry like little girls when they get that party invitation.
