It looks likes it's going to be a great day on Saturday ... upper 70s and sun. I'll be wearing a straw hat with red trim ...

Historic West Village area - a few of the homes were featured on Ch 2 this week. All done by the owners themselves.

S Elmwood and Tracy to S Elmwood and Niagara then From S Elmwood to Carolina Street. The streets that encompass the WV under the National Registry are Tracy, Johnson Park, Whitney Place, Prospect, Rabin, Georgia and, with the city and state designation Cary is also included. Otherwise, under the National designation, the cut off is S Elmwood and W Chippewa.

"This year, a free shuttle will run in a loop along the route, with stops marked on the map. The walk takes place rain or shine.

Garden Walk Buffalo is the largest event of its kind in the nation."

I went yesterday and had a great time. We did the gardens on Little Summer, Union, Sixteenth Street, Johnson Park, Cary Street, and North Pearl because we had some time constraints and we didn't want to have to waste time driving and parking (or waiting around for the shuttle). These streets had the highest concentrations of gardens.

Great gardens. Great, friendly gardeners! Great "garden pets" and yard art, too!

    Merl's yard was excellent!

The folks at the Aids Community Services (200 Elmwood) not only had an excellent garden, but they had the best free lemonade and sweets that just hit the spot!
