    Who is the Cheektowaga Team?

It's a matter of opinion of what the cost of services are, not about cutting them.

The democrats need to stop misleading our community. Bad role models for the kids.

So this is where cheektowaga team is based out of?

More of it in the Cheektowaga Bee

    cheektowaga taxes

    Look at the example

    chart

Technically they are not lying. They are mis-leading our community.

What are we charged per $1000? And comparing to other high taxes towns means nothing. We can easily pick 3 other towns that are lower.

Lets review who is running against Mary and crew

    ted mortons ad

I don't know if Hamburg is the only town that has kept the budget within line or how other towns are.

Is it true that from 2006 until 2011 the budget has increase about 10,000,000 ?

Is it true our population is declining?

I'd like to know if someone one on our town board can finally stand up and tell the rest of the crew to stop misleading our community. To sit by and watch this crap happen because of politics make you no better than the people doing the misleading.

it looks like holtz's bar graff is very misleading. Amherst tax rate is only $4.16 per thousand and Cheektowaga's tax rate is $15.787 per thousand. Tonawands's homestead tax rate is even less at $13.71 per thousand. this is from the Erie County Dept. of Real Property Tax Services website:

I'm registered IP. I didn't think it was addressed to me.. I will look tomorrow..

So who is the "cheektowaga team"... who funds them? Can we find out by the postage permit printed on the flyer? permit 4582 I think.

not once did I hear anything about letting go of any housing inspectors ( I think we have two) or cut down on crime prevention from the republicans..Not once.. And if I heard that I would question it.

what is rate of assessment in those towns? last time i checked, amherst was at 100 Percent -- cheektowaga much lower. usually, your tax rate is higher in towns that aren't at 100 percent because you're not being taxed at the real value. hope that made sense..

Actually, I believe that the lower percentage is used in order to confuse the comparisons to other towns. However, I have seen comparisons of the total tax levy on a $100,000.00 home across towns and Cheektowaga's districts are higher than most, in fact Cheektowaga has 4 of the top 6 highest property taxes in Erie County!!!

Erie County Town Tax Rates: The top 10 in 2011
    Rank Municipality 2011 2010 2009 2008
    1 West Seneca 17.12 17.25 17.39 17.38
    2 Town of Cheektowaga 15.78 15.15 14.53 14.17
    3 Village of Sloan (Cheektowaga) 14.42 13.88 13.31 13.09
    4 Village of Williamsville (Cheektowaga) 14.42 13.87 13.31 13.09
    5 Town of Tonawanda (Homestead) 13.71 13.55 13.29 12.38
    6 Village of Depew (Cheektowaga) 13.03 12.48 11.99 11.72
    7 Hamburg 8.96 8.99 8.99 8.99
    8 Evans 8.01 7.81 7.66 12.53
    9 Village of Angola 7.51 7.19 7.08 11.77
    10 Aurora 6.79 6.19 5.68 5.39

Why 4 of the top 6? Just look at the comparison of median income disparity between residents and employees of Cheektowaga!

Households of Cheektowaga for 2009 (Source: US Census Bureau - www.census.gov)
Median Income (wages only, does not include health and fringe benefits) $45,155

Town of Cheektowaga Employees for 2010(Source: Empire Center for NY State Policy - www.seethroughny.net)
Median Income (wages only, does not include health and fringe benefits) $55,080***

    Dear John,

I would like to inform you about something going on in our community.

When you have time please go read this thread.

    I believe you produce this:

    http://www.lawlips.com/2011-10_Oct_Town_Park_Nwsltr.pdf

I think you should inform our community about the current inept management practices by our current town board.

and this item has your return address on it.

    http://www.speakupwny.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=208409

Why would you send this out and mislead our community?

Maybe instead of speaking of HamburgerLand you should do an issue about "Pinocchio Ville".

    Tony

So it turns out that the purveyor of astounding untruth is:

    Greater Cheektowaga
    Town Park Home Owners
    Association, Inc.

    Cheektowaga, New York

This is the same organization to send out the flyer at the root of this thread as well as the lies posted here: http://www.speakupwny.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=208585

    The list of associates:

    2011 Executive Board
    John Marriott, President
    Kurt Kojm, Vice President
    Karen Stadelmeyer, Secretary
    Patricia Krempholtz, Treasurer
    Beverly Bystryk, Director
    Ben Kline, Director
    Michael Stadelmeyer, Director

Also, something very interesting about this group and its ties to the present administration in Cheektowaga:

    Stanley J. Kaznowski III
    Councilmember, Town of Cheektowaga

Stanley J Kaznowski has been a Town of Cheektowaga resident his whole life with his wife Lynn and two daughters. Stan grew up in the Pine Hill section of Town and currently resides in the Cleveland Hill area. For 29 years he has been the Chief Financial Officer of Curtis Crew Company, a local manufacturer of automobile engine and braking products. He graduated from Canisius College with a B.S. in finance and also holds an MBA. He also sits on Canisius College’s Business Advisory Board. He is a Trustee of the Rotary Club of Buffalo Foundation and president of the Cheektowaga Police Crime Resistance Board. He is past president of the Town Park Homeowners Association and has received numerous volunteer awards. His interests include golf and other outdoor activities.
