NY is giving killing us agian

this email was forwarded to me.

In the last State budget, a revision of The Wick Law was passed What this means is ... if you are not Union and have not had an apprenticeship program active for the last 3 years you can no longer bid on NYS jobs as of July 1, 2008. This Law was passed in the 11th hour of the Budget and many of the politicians who voted YES had no idea what this law even meant. But here's what it means to you and I:

If you are not Union you can no longer bid on State jobs! Only the Union can. Think about it! How will this affect you? How will this affect the small businesses and non-union businesses in WNY? How will it affect WNY? Most businesses will have to downsize, or even worse, shut down. I'm sure you know of someone this will affect that's why you should be very concerned right now of how this law got passed in the first place and what we can do to overturn it.

If you're wondering why you haven't heard about this until now, it's because the Union wanted it that way so no one could oppose it.

By Monday 5/19/08 we are hoping this will be on the news, but a few more phone calls on your part wouldn't hurt to get this going. We do not have much time to overturn this law or even put a temporary stop on it - here are the numbers to call to take action. Just simply say - The Wick Law and and ask why the public was never informed about this.

With the help of the Media we will be able to find out which politicans voted YES on this. This law goes into affect July 1 so we have to act fast. Most important, please forward this email on to everyone you know and pass the word around. This new law smells of corruption and we need to stop it now.

it sure seems like it. We should be encouraging business and opportunity for everyone. Each business pays a NY State Franchise tax and for that you get nothing.

Is there a list of who voted for and against this measure?
