This is how easy this was...
I just looked at the charge for alfalfa seeds for jars. 1 1/2 Tbsp
Put them into the jar and added water... rinsed them once and drained... and put enough water to have them soak over night. I put them into a kitchen cabinet to stay dark.
Following morning this is what I had.. wet seeds.
I drained the water until basically no more water dripped out, added fresh water through the lid. Drained and put them back into the cupboard...
The lid fits most wide body ball jars and can be purchased separately. Makes draining easy.
When I remembered I followed the instructions and rinsed the seeds 2 to 3 times a day and drained... placed back into the cupboard...
I noticed they started to harch...
From that point they grew really fast... Still making a point of rinsing them 2 to 3 times a day...
As the days went by the jar started to fill with sprouts..
By day 4 I had a jar of sprouts...
and before you know it... you have a sandwich...
I got quite a bit. Much less expensive and fresher than what you get at the market....
Only think I didn't do was green them up some. You can leave the jar out for a few hours in direct sunlight before using them....
