The body of a male was discovered Tuesday afternoon between two vacant homes at 97 and 101 Montana Ave., and foul play is suspected, Buffalo police said.

The discovery was made by two men at about 3:30 p.m. Ferry-Fillmore District officers and homicide detectives investigated, according to Michael J. DeGeorge, Buffalo police spokesman.

The cause of death is “undetermined” pending an autopsy today in the Erie County medical examiner’s office.

Police believe the body, which was clothed, was at the scene for at least a week.

As of late Tuesday, the victim was unidentified. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Buffalo police on their confidential tipline at 847-2255.

Have to hide the body somewhere. What better place than a vacant house in Buffalo? Now I wonder, what were these 2 men who discovered the body were doing in the house to begin with? How many other bodys have been dumped in vacant houses that havent and will never be found?
Gotta keep the rats fed somehow now they got all thoes fancy garbage cans.

I work pretty closely with several COB inspectors and they have found several bodies while doing asbestos surveys and demo inspections.
All the more reason to get these properties demolished.

This is not new and many times these John/Jane Does are not from Buffalo or even NYS.

Ever see a vehicle drive down the road with a used unwrapped matteress on it's roof?

Mattress are great places to hide bodies and take to the land fills.

Look, vacant houses are an invitation to all sorts of mischief and criminal activity.

When we were kids there was a vacant house on Transit Road in Depew. We used to go into it, smoke ciggys, break things, and wreak havoc. As an adult, I now realize how dangerous our behavior was.

Vacant houses are an invitation to trouble, period.
