    Pet food

Dogs are carnivores and really shouldn't be eating stuff that has the first ingredient being corn and the third or fourth ingredient being some type of meat by-product.

Some dogs are allergic to corn and/or wheat.

My rescue recommends Wellness Fish and Sweet Potatoes. It's packed with good dog nutrition, they eat less because it is more filling and since they digest more of it, they poop less.

Any body else have a favorite dog food?
Or cat food, gerbil food, snake food, etc.

When my dogs were pups, they'd frequently have loose stools and the vet would recommend boiled chicken and rice. So, for the last 4 years they have had boiled boneless skinless chicken breast every night for dinner. I don't do the rice. They eat Beneful Healthy weight dog food, Milkbone treats 3 times a day and no table scraps. Now, the only time they have a problem with their digestive system is when they find deer poop to eat. And I'm not going out at 2 o'clock in the morning with a miner's hat on with a pooper scooper in my hand to clean it up before they go out.

There's no escaping corn in America. Especially in my gas tank.

It's extremely unlikely you'll find a dog food in a supermarket w/out corn- so don't buy dog food from a supermarket. Hill's Science diet is equally worthless, despite your vet lying about it. It's a high-margin add-on to pad out their bottom line.

Treat your dog's illness with the proper medication and give them quality food instead. They depend on you to know what they need.

Chicken Soup and Eagle Pack are the only ones I use.

Until the pet food recall, we fed our dog iams. I liked it because her crap would literally (and magically) disintegrate.

Now, we realize that dogs prefer meat, so we just let her hunt for food. Sometimes, shell get lucky when a car will run over a possum or a skunk in front of our house, but most times, shes gotta work for it.

I dont like my dog enough to cook for her or buy her meat.
I am so omniscient - if there were to be two omnisciences, I would be both.
