Hi:

Does anyone know why the "RED BUDGET", cuts more of the Erie County Highway Department in the Southtowns than it does in the central and Northtowns? The Southtowns traditionaly gets more snow in the winter and yet they are getting the most reductions in the Highway Department. Could it be that it is because there is more houses and a higher tax base in the central and northern part of Erie county? It is going to be a difficult winter for the people who drive in Erie County when one considers that a County road that used to be plowed every hour will now only see a plow every 4 hours, at most!!
