    GATHERING
Young urban leaders to share their ideas

    Updated: 01/31/08 6:48 AM

Buffalo isn’t the only city in America trying to figure out how to turn around its misfortunes.

Young leaders ages 18 to 40 from cities throughout the nation facing similar economic challenges are meeting in Buffalo for three days beginning today to promote a conversation on how to fix what’s wrong with their cities and better promote what is right.

The gathering, dubbed the Great Lakes Urban Exchange (GLUE), is part of the Great Lakes Economic Initiative being undertaken by the Brookings Institution, a Washington think tank. The delegates will brainstorm in Hyatt Regency Buffalo and Asbury Hall at Babeville.

Just what we need; more brainstorming! And why is it acronyms must be used for every conference or associaton? G.L.U.E.---Ohh that sounds important...I mean come one now--Any of these foolish conferences/associations cannot be taken seriously---the acronyms give them away!

    Velvet, what have you done?

    Velvet:

Since anything anybody else attemps to improve Bflo is wrong, what have you done to improve Bflo?

You have posted on SUWNY an incredible 2275 times since 10/16/07. That is 21.4 posts a day!

How has Bflo gotten better as a result of all that energy?

You have succeeded in driving many away, for sure.

    Your successes please?

I was hoping to be at least 24 posts by now.
The question Kern is how has Buffalo gotten any better with all of the "energy" you've exerted? Your a clown, a blowhard alone on a deserted island. Save the nonsense.

I'm not sure what you mean by successes. Do you mean personal or for the city itself?
Personal is obviously none of your business. And as for the city I was dedicated employee of Buffalo Police for 10 years were I booked criminals and scumbags for destroying our city. But by far the most important thing I did was take care of my life and myself--which means I'm not a problem. I don't handouts or people like you fighting for me. I donate to organizations that help the community directly. Hopefully I pass your limus test.
I guess I haven't been able to drive you away though!
Also, I'm not sure where I made statements that anyone trying to improve the city is wrong..Actually I've contributed with many ideas that I think would work. Then again, I live here and you don't...you were forced to leave because of harrassment and stalking. But please, keep me posted on Detroit.
    Peace Out Funky

Man..you know its a strange day when Kern starts calling out other people for not improving things. The next hting he does to make the area better will be the first.
Maybe he can comeback and have a reunion with his friends..I hear the phone both at W. Chip and Franklin is available..unless Ma Bell has prosecutted Turdwatch 12x and ran him out of the city as well

no one chased that loser out he left to embark on an alternative life in Mn.

I await my next "you are Flynn" email from turdwatch in Mn.
