The attorney's office has been understaffed for some time, no doubt due to the inflated salaries of the past administration, or not finding a sworn officer of court who was willing to turn a blind eye. The addition of another attorney may be necessary to handle an increased case load that has been, or will be, generated by Paul Clark, and members of his administration. It will take a lot of time to dig through layers of sediment they left behind.

Since the TB is reviewing all departments, there will no doubt be cuts in other areas to off-set what appears to be an increase.

    Another point

Cotton, if you had actually been at the meeting, you wold have heard WP inform everyone that the attorney's office is now staffed at all times to serve the citizens. He also stated that if we have concerns we can contact his office, as he is there everyday, and there is no longer a need to wait for the meetings. I have no problem paying for good service.
It appears that Mr. Piotrowski is going to make town government accessible to the people and hold those in the town's employ accountable. I, for one, welcome the change.

I think Wally is a liar about being there for the people. I went to town hall to speak with him the other day and the office was locked and the lights were off. So much for his campaign promise of being there for the people.

What time did you go down there? Did you have an appointment?

around 2 pm. There wasn't even a secretary there to speak with to try and set up another appointment.

Just for clarification, what day/date was this on. Did you check in the Clerk's office to see if they knew where they were?

His office clerk, who's father just died (maybe on that day). Remember, he's only got his clerk right now- he has not appointed a secretary yet (or one hasn't begun). Every time I have been in the hall, Wally and his clerk have been there.

Wally's "cost saving" plans are nothing more than erroneous propaganda. The truth is that when he cut the Town Attorney's salary, he then had to go out and hire assistants and secretaries for Mr. Hunter. Why? Because the prior Town Attorney didn't need a secretary...he did his own typing, etc.

Second, check out the cost savings for the comptroller. Wally cut the comptroller's salary drastically, but then hired another accountant...someone who he shared office space with...as the personal accountant to the Supervisor's Office at a salary of ~$36,000.00.

    Some cost savings plan...

That is correct Reality! Smoke and mirrors! One of the public prosecutors had no court room experience. "The best for who’s town?" The Attorney's Clerk has been moved from Department to Department, She is clearly incompetent!

Interesting that Cotton signs on at 5:12 pm and 4UWS signs off at 5:11 pm.

Does anybody have a copy of the new budget besides Reality Check and Cotton? I would like to see the numbers for myself before making assumptions.
