News: Mexicans good at making babies

Newsflash: Mexicans come to this country illegally and make babies, which we pay for. Tell us something we don't know, CNN. Though the fact that MORE THAN HALF of mexicans in the US are here illegally was a little shocking even for me. It's a full scale invasion.

Births, not immigration, account for most of Hispanic growth in last decade

Births have overtaken immigration as the driving force behind the growth of the Mexican-American population in the United States in the past decade, according to a report released Thursday by the Pew Hispanic Center.

The same can be said for the entire Hispanic population of the United States, which grew from 35.3 million in 2000 to 50.5 million in 2010, accounting for 16.3% of the U.S. population, according to U.S. Census Bureau data. About 58% of that growth resulted from births rather than the arrival of new immigrants, the report says.

The trend is most evident among Mexican-Americans, whose numbers grew by 7.2 million as a result of births and 4.2 million from new immigrant arrivals in the past decade, reversing trends from the previous two decades, when the number of new immigrants matched or exceeded the number of births, the report says.

Mexican-Americans are the nation's largest Hispanic group, at around 31.8 million, or 63% of the U.S. Hispanic population and 10% of the total U.S. population.

In the Pew report, the term Mexican-American applies to people of Mexican origin, regardless of immigration status. The study noted that in 2010, 52% of people of Mexican origin were in the U.S. illegally, and that 68% of births to undocumented aliens were to Mexican nationals.

    What's behind the change?

Mexican-Americans are more likely than U.S.-born Americans to be in their prime child-bearing years, and they also have higher fertility rates, the report says. Another significant factor is a steep decline in Mexican immigration to the United States in recent years.

Hispanic births accounted for 25% of the nation’s newborns in 2008, the report says, citing statistics from the Centers for Disease Control. U.S. births are also disproportionately Mexican-American. While 10% of the nation’s population in 2008 was Mexican-American, 16% of the nation’s births were to Mexican-American mothers.

White children in the minority in 10 states

Meanwhile, the number of new immigrants arriving from Mexico fell by 60% between 2006 and 2010 because of declining job opportunities in the U.S., increased border enforcement and economic growth in Mexico, the report says, citing a previous Pew Hispanic Center study of Mexican immigration trends.

Age and fertility explain the high share of births among Mexican-Americans, the report says. On average, Mexican-Americans are younger than other major racial and ethnic groups, with a median age of 25, compared with 30 for non-Mexican-origin Hispanics and 41 for whites.

Mexican-American women also have more children than their counterparts in other racial and Hispanic origin groups. The typical Mexican-American woman between 40 and 44 has given birth to 2.5 children, compared with 2.3 children for the typical same-aged Hispanic woman and 1.8 children for the typical same-aged white woman, according to Pew Hispanic Center tabulations from the 2006 to 2010 June Fertility Supplements of the U.S. Current Population Survey.

The Hispanic share of the population is projected to rise from 16.3% in 2010 to 29% by the middle of this century, with the bulk of the future increase driven by births rather than the arrival of new immigrants, the report says.

Ever heard of the North American Trade Union ?

President Bush is pursued a globalist agenda to create a North American Union, effectively erasing our borders with both Mexico and Canada. This was the hidden agenda behind the Bush administration's true open borders policy.

Secretly, the Bush administration is pursued a policy to expand NAFTA politically, setting the stage for a North American Union designed to encompass the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. What the Bush administration truly wants is the free, unimpeded movement of people across open borders with Mexico and Canada.

President Bush intended to abrogate U.S. sovereignty to the North American Union, a new economic and political entity which the President is quietly forming, much as the European Union has formed.

The blueprint President Bush is followed was laid out in a 2005 report entitled "Building a North American Community" published by the left-of-center Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). The CFR report connects the dots between the Bush administration's actual policy on illegal immigration and the drive to create the North American Union:

At their meeting in Waco, Texas, at the end of March 2005, U.S. President George W. Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox, and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin committed their governments to a path of cooperation and joint action. We welcome this important development and offer this report to add urgency and specific recommendations to strengthen their efforts.

What is the plan? Simple, erase the borders. The plan is contained in a "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America" little noticed when President Bush and President Fox created it in March 2005:

In March 2005, the leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the United States adopted a Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP), establishing ministerial-level working groups to address key security and economic issues facing North America and setting a short deadline for reporting progress back to their governments. President Bush described the significance of the SPP as putting forward a common commitment "to markets and democracy, freedom and trade, and mutual prosperity and security." The policy framework articulated by the three leaders is a significant commitment that will benefit from broad discussion and advice. The Task Force is pleased to provide specific advice on how the partnership can be pursued and realized.

The three governments should commit themselves to the long-term goal of dramatically diminishing the need for the current intensity of the governments’ physical control of cross-border traffic, travel, and trade within North America. A long-term goal for a North American border action plan should be joint screening of travelers from third countries at their first point of entry into North America and the elimination of most controls over the temporary movement of these travelers within North America.

Obama -another puppet has to follow suit for the powers that be.

At least the Mexicans still believe in the old-fashioned family, etc.

Lots of rich white folk these days choose NOT to have kids.
I'm just here to make people laugh. And to confuse people. Oh, and to irritate people.

There is nothing wrong with immigration as long as it doesn't hurt the country or a large segment of legal citizens. Don't let in 20,000,000 people who can have 5,000,000 kids and expect everyone else to financially support them. It is simply not fair period.

Have as many kids as you want but expect no help in the way of welfare if you can't afford to support your family in the first place. It's different if you were going along fine and need a little help for a few months... But not when it's a on going subsidized life style.

There are mexican school buses that drop kids off at the border everyday for school. The only problem is these kids walk across the border to American schools, where thousands of them are given free education and healthcare thanks to the old American taxpayer. And that doesn't even count the millions that are already here milking uncle sam out of welfare, hospital care, and food stamps.

    Fact:

Illegals don't qualify for welfare or food stamps. They get Emergency Room care, like anyone else in need. Plus, many illegals pay for YOUR Social Security and Medicare, but will never collect it themselves.

Way to mislead the public. Every scientific study has shown illegal aliens to be a NET BURDEN on society. Why do you think every state is trying to clamp down? I read a study that said each californian pays $2100 per year to subsidize illegal aliens.

So the average wager earner is paying $2,100 per year so all those "don't raise my taxes" California millionaires can get their grass cut cheap.

No matter how you want to look at it, it's costing a lot of people a lot of money. Period.

True. They cost us money in other ways, such as public education.

But Yankee would have us believe that illegals come here, set up a mailbox and a hammock and just wait for government checks to roll in. It's just not so. In fact, most studies indicate that the average immigrant pays a net $80,000 more in taxes than they collect in government services. For immigrants with college degrees the net fiscal return is $198,000. And they are less of a burden on the healthcare system. Source

I have no problem with it. People said the same schnit about the Italians and the Poles back when my grandparents came to this country before WW I ... and back in the 1850s, people hung signs in their shops windows that read "No Irish Need Apply". That worked out well in the end, so I see no reason to expect the Mexicans to be any different.

FTR, Fishy, unmotivated people don't get off their butts and travel hundreds or thousands of miles to another country to find work. Mexican immigrants may be uneducated and unskilled, but they are far more motivated than most Americans, especially since they do most of the jobs that Americans won't do.
