    Does anyone remember laughter?

As a kid, I couldn't stomach them. I pretty much hated them because they were so big.

Now, as an old man, with a great fondness for the Blues, I realize that I had it all wrong.

And, I'm sorry I didn't "get" them the first time around.

Dude, you talkin' 'bout The Blues Brothers?
I'm just here to make people laugh. And to confuse people. Oh, and to irritate people.

Sounds to me like he's referring to "boobs" .. but my mind tends to twist things and make it 'bout sex

"I'm not locked in here with them. They're locked in here with me!!"

I can remember shooting pool at a buddy's house in 7th grade listening to "Whole Lotta Love"......we played it over and over....never became a Zep fan....and now, at this age, I think they are a bit long in the tooth to be playing that stuff live

A million years ago, when I was a kid, I would go to the Friday night Timon dances. I loved the slowdances. The highlight would always the band's renditon of Stairway to Heaven. Second would have to be Color My World by Chicago.

I know, I know, this threads about Led Zepplin and I'm going off topic, but...

    Someone mentioned the Stones....

The first time I saw the Stones live was in 1965 at the Memorial Auditorium. I think the tickets were twelve bucks. There were five or six other bands along with the Stones. What a show.

I can understand most songs nowadays, except in some screamer and some rap. I'm always asking my kids "What'd they say?" or just plain make up my own words.

My youngest daughter loves the oldies..She also loves Broadway showtunes..
My oldest daughter likes everything and some of the songs are recycled.. I tell her hey... that song was popular when I was your age... Most of the music out there nowadays is just ...crap!
