Question Sherwood-is he gone yet-or just changing spots ?

[quote=pudge]Current Town Attorney Richard Sherwood's name is missing from the Organizational Agenda list.

    It's about time !!

[pudge] As much as Sherwood has been a pain for residents attending board meetings, he has been the town protector and a savior for the often rambling Town Supervisor. He is respected for his legal counsel.

By who ? The drunk drivers he represents in court !

The developers he's helped legally rape our Town ?

Tim Horton's for making their Michael Anthony walk store possible !

    Give me a break !

Until you find out the "true back deal" don't count your chickens .

Remember - Town Justice Montour just might have use for him .
As far as the Town Attorney's pay - Mr.Duziak is , so far - getting about half what Sherwood gets - I hope he'll at least actually be in the Town Hall instead of running back and forth ,from 21 Central to 25 !

[pudge] Who will be covering Giza's ass now?

Tax payers (as usual) Mr.Giza is now eligible for the highest level of tax payer funded NYS Retirement(for his tier level). So by him stepping down during this term the Democratic Employment Committee can appoint anyone they want.

The dark horse to watch is Stempniak -

She's about at her max pension point as well . She will be collecting a NYS tax payer funded City of Buffalo teachers pension , as well as her NYS tax payer funded Lancaster Retirement Benefits - she's approved most every subdivision and blindly supported the controlling majority from day one.

Yes , she manages to stay under the radar on most issues - by presenting mundane concerns , like lighting heights and dumpster placement . But she has never - never changed one single outcome for any development - commercial or residential - ever ! She's also at the planning Board meetings and still manages to turn a blind eye to valid issues and concerns , like wetlands , traffic and so on.

With so many shady deals and environmental time bombs buried in this Town - maybe its time for the old boys to allow the "new boys" to take control .

Lancaster's future Town Board motto - "We didn't do it - but we're going to use you and your tax dollars to fix it all."

    Last point:

Until Sherwood's living down South - he's still dangerous !

I was as pleased to hear that Sherwood was gone as you. Yet you should heed your own advice and think on what precipitated this change.

If Sherwood was indeed the great protector of the town's, developers and special interests best interests, and especially in covering Giza's ass, why the change? He has been in office for two decades?

Why the Assessor change? Why appoint a Conservative in a Council member position unless there was a "reason" for doing so.

If the town was not satisfied with Sherwood's performance, why did it take so many years to dump him?

Are you saying that all the changes being made are in the best interest of the community? Or, are you implying the same type of administration is being passed on to younger guns?

Time will tell, but there a lot of things going on in the town (contracts, development, water quality violations) that will need addressing.

Are you saying that position change will be had by these moves, or that the controlling Party has just strenghtened its status quo position?

Personally, I believe we have gone from "suck" to "still suck".

    Exclamation exactly

He's a practicing defense lawyer - specializing in getting drunks back on the road. As you pointed out he has put his time in as Town Attorney - now eligible for a tax payer funded NYS Pension and Town retirement goodies.

    Why the Assessor change?

She (Mrs.Fusco) was the last non-controlling party member hold over .

Why appoint a Conservative in a Council member position unless there was a "reason" for doing so.

Contrary to what some believe -JC still controls the inner workings of that party - Abraham is an asset!

If the town was not satisfied with Sherwood's performance, why did it take so many years to dump him?

Its all apart of the overall passing of the torch - look at the overall picture - the ones who have maxed out on tax payer funded benefits and fading public/party support - slide out.

Are you saying that all the changes being made are in the best interest of the community? Or, are you implying the same type of administration is being passed on to younger guns?

I would never say ,believe or imply these self serving , developer/contributor driven people would be swayed by true community concern.

Time will tell, but there a lot of things going on in the town (contracts, development, water quality violations) that will need addressing.

Are you saying that position change will be had by these moves, or that the controlling Party has just strengthened its status quo position ?

Every move they make is ruled by self needs , re-election rhetoric development , and Controlling Party entrenchment. Status Quo !

    Agreed !
