Why would West Seneca give them $200,000 in a grant? It's tax payers money. Grant or not. I understand it's federal money in the long run but couldn't Rosina's spend it's own money for new equipment?
Say what you will about public incentives, but Rosina is exactly the type of company that deserves them
Rosina bought a company called Celentano several years ago. Celentano makes frozen Italian food (pizza, stuffed shells, manicotti, etc).
Celentano was based in New Jersey. Rosina sold that plant, and brought the operations here. They bought a building in West Seneca that Lender's Bagels had just closed up.
Rosina could've easily kept the Celentano jobs in NJ, but they stayed in WNY.
They deserve a medal, in my book.
