I say both plus happy hanukkah and happy kwanzaa. I have no greeting for the satanists however. Does anyone know an appropriate holiday phrase for those folks?

I say Happy Chanukah when it is said to me.
No one's ever wished me a Happy Kwanza before.

"Murry Crapsmus, ya nucleaer Iranians! Bombs away! Yeeeeeeeee Ha!!!"

Depends on who I'm speaking to;What holiday greetings they wish me.

I usually say "Merry Christmas," which is "right" for the season but honestly, not a "law."

I also say "happy holidays" but with a good degree of sincerity; Not just a "yeah, "happy THIS, you piece of crap!"

The Christmas season "forces" most of us to greet friends and strangers alike with some kind of "holiday greeting."

We should NEVER be politically correct on what we say to people during the Christmas season and yes, I did rail on (weeks ago) on how "Merry Christmas" should be said by store employees instead of "happy holidays,"
but don't we have ENOUGH PRESSURE on us to worry about,

"did we say the "appropriate" greeting to them (anyone)?"

Why the hell should we second guess ourselves over a few words?!

How's about a thread: "Do Christmas carols offend you or fill you with joy and the Christmas spirit?"

    Who bloody cares?
Coincidence is the word we use when we can't see the levers and pulleys.

    How about saying "Happy Christmas?"

We can pretend we're in the UK...

I did spend the week before last wishing everyone a 'Felicitous Diwali' The problem being, most English-speaking Americans have no clue what Diwali is, and the Indians who celebrate Diwali have no idea what the word 'Felicitous' means.

    Quite disappointing for me...

    Isn't that a harvest festival? You're a bit eccentric, aren't you?

Timmy - I'm curious about something -- What do you do when you know the person you're speaking to is Jewish? Do you still say Merry Christmas?
