Was my attempt at humor that bad ?

I thought someone would get it, given all the town trucks at Tim Hortons at Ridge and Seneca St. between 7-7:30 Mon.- Fri.

It seems to be the employees first order of the day.

That said, I still maintain my opinion that your defense and sincereity on the lit. drop issue is lame at best. I saw Dale Clarke on election day and heard his side. He felt so wronged and sideswiped, and rightly so. Your attempts at damage control will not undo or make him and the others forget what you did.

You talking to me ? Just for the record, it's people who live in glass houses "shouldn't" throw stones. There's a difference.

Yes I am, I might agree with you regarding Wirth not getting Clarke permission, as you say but you seem only interested in hearing what you have to say, an attack anyone that does not agree with your views.

I asked those involved in hockey, they said Finnegans hockey teams always have a winning record. You say they lack discipline. How do you know that ? I bet you or your son played for him to make that remark. I'm feeling pretty lucky, Larry.

Scrooge has another in his sights.

    This is going somewhere.

Got a feeling Scrooge is gonna imply something here.

Does Scrooge take exception to Larry's post about Finnegan ?

Is Larry still watching town employees ?

Is there a connection there ?

    Stay tuned.

    You're right "Mysterious One"

I take exception that Finnegan gets attacked for volunteering his time to coach youth hockey. Apparently he has been doing this for quite some time now. Well over ten years and has for a stretch coached two teams I was told. That's admirable when someone gives up that much of their own time to volunteer. To diminish that in any fashion in here is unwarranted. Lucky Larry obviously has an axe to grind with Finnegan that has nothing to do with hockey. Lucky Larry seems like he is your kind of person. You know him ? I think he's ignorant for the remark about Finnegan and he's definately ignorant of the facts he spouts off about in here.

Eb, believe it or not, I have to agree with you. The issue of what Pat Finnegan does in his free time is irrelevant to matters of the Town. I personally, would only have an issue if it were being done while he was supposed to be working. As someone who coached LL baseball for several years, it was a very pleasurable time, and it brought me closer to my son. I hope to be able to do it again one day with my grandchildren.

As for workers stopping at Tim's for coffee, I have somewhat mixed feelings on this issue. While it does not paint a pretty picture to see the number of town trucks there, I've observed the guys get their coffee and leave right away. If it seems they are in Tim's too long, it's simply a matter of how long it takes to get served. Having at one time spent long hours behind the wheel, I can understand. The majority of the guys do a great job, it's a shame that there may be a few who taint our perception.

Beside, at least we know where they are, unlike the current supervisor. Just try to find his fat ass in his Town Hall office.

I think you're implying some sort of impropriety on Finnegans part. Are you ? You're questioning his "free time". I can't help but think you've been talking to Lucky Larry. Don't let the Bee go to your head. Russo said a town employee provoked him at the cancer walk ? I'm not positive, but I was told there were no town employees involved in that charity walk. My friend was one of the chairmen of the cancer walk. I'll get back to you.

Today was a fine turkey day. Hope everyone is stuffed. Don't know about town workers that day but you're correct Eb. The person, a 16 year old boy helping park cars, is the son of a prominent local businessman in W.S. I know this because I know the family.

I was not implying that at all, please don't read more into it. Since you and others seemed to be discussing improper behavior during work hours, I felt it necessary to put that in my statement to make my point, as I took another's comments regarding Tim Horton's to imply work time. Pat seems like a genuinely nice guy, and I doubt he would do anything of that nature. Beside, I don't care what anyone does in there free time, because it's theirs.

My concern is whether employees are stopping in a bar for drinks, as the financial ramifications could be incredible.

Regarding the walk, I have been told that organizers were lied to by town officials regarding the available number of parking spaces and this was where the incident stemmed from. It had rained heavily prior to the event, and cars were being parked on the main field, causing extensive damage. The person I asked (not Rudy) could not remember all of the events exactly, as they were not there at the initial onset. Perhaps this person assumed the kid worked for the town somehow. So I'll take that as my bad. As I said earlier, I was not living in the area at the time, so I don't know first hand. This is water under the bridge in my book since; Russo was not elected, he paid a price for his actions, and the walk has continued at the complex without incident that I know of. Why don't we drop that issue and get back to the now.

I wonder if you got bad information about this too ? I believe Lucky Larry brought up this issue in here also.
