Mr. Hicks: Please take your seat under the bus

Watching Paul Clark endorse Jim Keane was classic TV. It was like watching someone giving a speech with a gun in his back. Man, it was painful to watch.

The speech was as interesting as the cast of characters seen in the background. There stood, after the speech, Paul Clark talking to West Seneca councilman Craig Hicks. Hicks still doesn't realize that he was traded by Paul Clark for Sheila Meegan and the support she brought to Clark's campaign. Clark made a deal with Pigeon and Walsh to support Walsh's daughter, Sheila Meegan, in return they would help Clark raise money and work on his campaign. Walsh also worked the Keane side for Meegan's support. As a result, Meegan won the primary and Hicks finished third behind the other winner, Dale Clarke.

Hick's became priority number 4 in the election. The two most important were Paul Clark and Piotrowski. Number 3 was Meegan and Hicks was last. This was evident because nobody was campaigning for him. It was all Piotrowski and Meegan at the voting booths. They had Hicks literature but were told it wasn't a priority. Why?

Hicks' mentor and campaign manager is Anthony Nigro who has tremendous animosity toward Chris Walsh, Meegan's father. Clark made a deal with Pigeon and Walsh and the deal was Meegan had to be elected. The emphasis was put on Meegan. They were hoping Dale Clarke would fall flat. It didn't happen.

It was amazing to see Hicks talking to Clark when Clark shafted him big time. I guess that's why he doesn't have a reputation of being a poor councilman for nothing. Hey Craig, this one just in: "Paul Clark sold you out."

I must apologize FisherRd. I was wrong. I misread. My mistake.

I thought you were calling me a "Clark-ite".

That extra "e" will get you.

Hey, I'm a jerk, but I'm not that big of a jerk!

I'm voting for Clarke too. I met him at the Q of H beer tent. Nice guy.
BTW, Meegan couldn't be anything further from Clark's camp. Lorigo wouldn't give her the Conservative endorsement because he knows she isn't going to play ball.

    Dear Alucard

I regret tipping my hand, but.....

I have known Mr. Walsh and Mr. Nigro personally for many years.

I still talk to them from time to time.

You do not know of what you speak.

    Mr. Nigro supports Sheila Meegan.

Mr. Nigro has her sign on his lawn.

    You are misinformed.

    Severely.

    Mr.(s)? Alucard

    Your bitterness is understandably obvious.

But it doesn't merit you speaking out on Mr. Nigro nor Mr. Walsh's behalf with out their knowledege or referencing such political stalwarts in West Seneca.

Again, I have personally known these men for years.

I didn't always agree with them over the past 30 + years, but I always respected them. They never wavered in thier conviction.

They are gentlemen, both now entering their 80's.

You did them both a diservice by bringing them into this thread.
