Of all the letters they received that week, of course the Buffalo News zeroed right in on that one to print.

I didn't see the letter, but I can only assume that the writer's definition of "working family" is anyone who happens to belong to a Union.

    Well the Unions in WI.

What about the non-union working family that have to pay for the services "union working families" pay working for "Government Inc."

I think they are referring to the "families" that work for this network of people.

I did, those damn Republicans help union/non-union workers with member item funds. Who the hell do they think they are.

It’s also more than a shame that the region’s Democratic Assembly and Senate Representatives have not supported the local WDI center over the years. In the past, the local WDI Center had received State Funding through the help of Republican Dale Volker and other GOP Representatives. In WNYLaborToday.com’s recollection in reporting on the WNYWDC over the course of time, never had we written any report of an area Democratic State Representative helping bring funding to the center and its programs. Why didn’t they? It’s a good question – and one that should be asked of our area Democratic Assembly and Senate Representatives.
I never said I had no idea about most of the things you said I said I had no idea about.

They cut taxes for the rich, and shift the burden directly to the middle class.

They limit the opportunities of the working poor.

They use every opportunity to make it easier on corporations and harder on working families.

Unless you can name some Republican legislation that has not overly benefited the rich and powerful, this opinion might have some merit.

If you follow the Buffalo's comment section, this guy posts under HAPKLEIN, he may be one of the most ignorant people (except for that one firefighter from Florida) that posts on the web site.

Almost all of his claims can't be backed up and 90% of his responses are AD HOM attacks.

Sorry, but the middle class saw a LARGER proportion of the Bush taxes cuts "given" to them... even though they pay less of the tax burden

They limit the opportunities of the working poor.
Sorry, but welfare and liberalism has done more to harm the working poor than any other policy in history.... Even in the bluest of blue states, why does NYS have the largest income inequality in the nation?? Why does a BLUE city like buffalo have about 50% of black men unemployeed... can't be the republicans fault, COb hasn't had a republican mayor in decades!

    .

And lowering the cost of living makes it harder on working famillies?

Unless you can name some Republican legislation that has not overly benefited the rich and powerful, this opinion might have some merit.
Welfare reform, SS fixes... I have a feeling I could list a dozen but you wouldn't respond.

Again, your logic and facts are wrong... something we've come to know and expect.

I say "No, this isn't true."
Republicans are for taxpayers. Taxpayers are mostly families that work.

That's why they're the biggest hypocrites. They want to control everyone else but they can't even control themselves. Like Newt Gingergrinch talking about "traditional family values" and "protecting marriage" when he's been divorced multiple times and even left one of his wives while she was in cancer treatment.
