Personally, I think it would be fiscally irresponsible to increase the salary of the legislators who attend 22 meetings a year from $42,588 to $80,000.
It is a part time job and many legislators either have full time jobs elsewhere or own a business which requires them to work full time.
Legislator John Mills was on WBEN and stated there was not enough work in the position to constitute it being a full time position.
Would these legislators who have time commitments elsewhere be cheating us taxpayers?
