E-cigarettes are marketed as devices to help quit smoking, but that's not the only reason to use them. Some people are not looking to quit, but to use when regular cigarettes are not allowed as in most public places.
Yeah, I suppose everyone should just quit, but that's not gonna happen any time soon. I'd rather see people use these than fall asleep while smoking and burning the house down, generating 2nd hand smoke, and some of the other unpleasantries from smoking traditional cigarettes.
Which begs the question that if e-cigarettes are healthier, wouldn't a potential loss of cigarette tax be balanced by a potential loss of healthcare cost?

who here doesn't think there will be a tax on e-cigarettes?

I think it's just one cigarette from the ones I've seen so yes there would be a sales tax on the item itself. I may be wrong though!

no, not at all like drinking a non-alcoholic beer. These e-cigs have real nicotine in the cartridge and delivers, through vaporizing, a cleaner, purer drug to the addict without the filthy smoke.

    A kinder, gentler cigarette.

So the point is that it vaporizes the nicotine. So where do I buy this?

I watched Detroit last night and they had a lady on there smoking the e-cig. Looked real.

Due to the stress in my sons life right now, he is smoking a cig after another. I am so worried. Should this be an alternative or is this worse?

read the FAQ...I don't think inhaling e-cig is worse that inhaling tar, but, don't take my word for it. (I won't even eat Cool Whip)

thank you buffy. I'm going to do research on these compounds and see the pro's vs con's. The Propylene glycol is a lubricant. I don't see how that could be good knowing that it's going into your lungs.
