    Callahan, Meegan, Walsh, and Pigeon

    http://www.buffalonews.com/city/poli...icle293774.ece

Pigeon's influence on behalf of the Walsh family now extends to the next generation. Earlier this year, the County Legislature hired West Seneca Councilwoman Sheila Meegan -- Walsh's daughter -- as a part-time employee after Pigeon helped fashion a new majority headed by now-Chairwoman Barbara Miller-Williams.

But that was not Pigeon's only effort on Meegan's behalf. Last year, People for Accountable Government, a political committee headed and financed by Pigeon, sent slick mailers to West Seneca voters supporting her campaign. Meegan said she had no idea about the mailings' origins, even though they carried the return address of Callahan, a former town employee who worked on her campaign.

    Sheila Meegan

This is another example of how Sheila Meegan lies to the people of West Seneca and shows that she thinks we are all morons. She tells people what they want to hear and only does what is best for her....example...trying to get her husband elevated to a higher paying position in the town...can't wait to see what she has to say about that one....probably "I was not aware of anything like that"....she is a liar and a joke....her father was the worst politician in West Seneca and he is still sucking off the public now...they are an embarrassment to this town

Don't give pigeon all the "credit" for the Leg hiring Meegan. Her hiring, and that of Sandy Rosenswie lies at the hands of Tim Kennedy and Tina Bove. Pigeon took cafre of Chris Walsh who is practically blind. Callahan came along for the ride because he drove Walsh around. NONE of them did any actual work.

Let's face it, WS has had more than our share of questionable leaders. The question to ask is, where do we go from here? Chances are, we'll continue down the same path because of the apathy demonstrated in the last election. The number of residents who don't exercise their right to vote is a disgrace. But, most probably feel there is no point in voting, as it's always the same people, making the same promises they either can't or won't keep. Then there is the faction that needs to keep these people elected to protect their interests. You wouldn't want someone looking at the Union contracts saying "You know, we can't afford to keep paying ...(insert your choice of perks here)."

Reality is a difficult monster to look in the eye. Eventually it will need to happen. Our population is aging, the tax base shrinking, and expenses rising. Who, or what, will be cut to keep costs down?

Talk among yourselves, and have a Happy New Year!

A half of our town actually cares. About 35,000 have the ability to vote in our town, we get at most 18k to come out and vote.

The showdown in September between WP and SM is going to be a good one.

Although I was not present at last night's meeting I heard that our Supervisor was willing to vote for Mike Meegan's promotion in exchange for appointing Joe Lorigo as town prosecutor and since he couldn't get that quid pro quo arrangement the Supervisor voted against the promotion.

    2. Councilman Clarke re Title change for Michael Meegan to Working Crew Chief

The supervisor did not vote for the title change for Meegan because he is not the one who should be getting this PROMOTION AND INCREASE IN PAY! There are others who have more seniority and better qualified for the position.

This is Clarke and Meegan's way of taking from the town, and whenever they don't get their way they throw the Lorigo name out there.
