Not you thats for sure.
With Judge Chimes election to the Supreme Court, there will be a vacancy coming open in Orchard Park Town Justice Court. Who do all the great minds using this blog think should be appointed to fill that vacancy?
Who are our choices?
Timberwolf for someone that seems above the fray you seem to spend alot of time interfacing with "little minds." Obviously you derive some value or satisfaction from the information that "little minds" have to offer otherwise you would not invest your time reading and making comments here!
At least Petunia asked an intelligent question. The other two complainers obviously don't have a clue.
Petunia - My question was open ended just to see if anyone had any thoughts on the matter. Choices can be anyone. Although it isn't necessary, usually judges are lawyers.
Since you like the former OP GOP chair so much why not name him?
Not at all sure how mnb811 concludes that I have some sort of liking for the former GOP Town Chairman, but thanks for the suggestion. Maybe mnb811 could highlight his qualifications for the job and help promote his candidacy.
Amazing how all the big thinkers on this blog have very little constructive to offer to the question of succeeding Judge Chimes.
Who really cares...
maybe Eugene could throw his hat in on that- almost as laughable as county legislator.
I'm still wondering who our choices are?
The choices are anyone that throws their hat in the ring... Not sure if anyone has done this yet..
How about you Kim?
Just catching up with the local news and it appears, as the title of the article notes, "Lawyers Only Need Apply" with two attorneys already showing interest, yet they were unnamed. Non attorneys must attend 3 weeks of judge school and that has already begun. It appears the town board was already prepared to appoint an attorney anway as the Town Board feels they have plenty of talent in Orchard Park that would be more than qualified to fill the vacated spot of Judge Chimes. Although appointed for January 2011, the appointed judge must also still run in a special election in November for a new 4 year term.
Good luck to the interested parties.
I wonder if Delano (former Buffalo Detective and now new judge in Cheektowaga) is attending judge school?
16 people have expressed a formal interest in this position. However, none of the complainers that frequent this blog offered a single constructive suggestion.
