    New York State Governor Race Debate the Debate as it happens

    We are in deep ****. This group reminds of the jokers running for gov of calf when the terminator was elected.

    Here's one thing we can't cut - mental health services, because it is apparent we haven't been spending enough.

    Surprisingly, the Libertarian guy (Redlich) and Hawkins are the only ones presenting any viable plans. Everyone else is point at Cuomo, and saying,"I can do it better"...

    And I thought all Libertarians were as crazy as Jim O.

    Yeah, she's not so great in person, but her site lays out in pretty good detail about how legalization of Marijuana will create jobs, increase tax revenue, and increase the number of people moving back here.

    Redlich might have won my vote on this time around. I have to look more into him, as I wrote him off on the assumption he was as crazy as Jim O. So, I'm not 100% positive I'll be voting for Hawkins now.

    I think Carl had the best closing..

    I think overall he didn't do great, but Cuomo's aloof attitude and appearance hurt cuomo, and the attacks by the others might help Carl.

    I really like hawkins but I have to say Redlich brought about quit a few excellent points. I don't think privatizing public trans is a bad idea if done right and with regulation though.

    Carl did fine.

    Cuomo didn't say boo about the amount of "special interest groups" that donate to him. That lets you know who is actually behind him.
