Williamsville Still a Village!!!

The Buffalo News still can't get it right...

With a 50% turn out the residents of the Village of Williamsville voted on the question, "Shall the Village of Williamsville Be Dissolved?" and answered:

83% - NO

17% - yes

As Thomas Jefferson once said, "A perfect republic can materialize only in a small jurisdiction such as a Village. (They) have proved themselves the wisest invention ever devised by the wit of man for the perfect exercise of self-government…”

Kevin Gaughan accomplished only one goal in his decisive loss. He did strengthen our community.

I hope that going forward residents will take full advantage of the representation we kept. We need to scream louder and push hard for lower taxes and better service!!!

The Village of Williamsville Citizen Study Group is not completely disbanding. We will keep pushing on the following issues in the near future:

Water consolidation
Sewer Consolidation
Taxes paid to the Town

The irony is that the majority of people who voted NO are Dem's who believe in a large powerful federal govt... your TJ quote is a little bit hypocritical isn't it?
