The 50 High Street Tower -- a vacant structure that dominates the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus skyline -- is headed for a date with the wrecker's ball.
Ciminelli Development Co. has cleared one major hurdle from the Buffalo Planning Board and is expected to clear another in two weeks. That will allow the company to demolish the 13-story building that has stood empty for nearly a decade and been considered by many to be an eyesore in the medical campus.
