it will be a good night for incumbents and the BTF. I don't think the Partnership and Charter School advocates had very active candidates and will be in trouble.
The BTF is better at mobilizing their forces.
Went to vote right around 6pm. Was the 24th person in my precinct to vote. Ah well...looks like a good day for incumbents, no?

Some close votes. Guy I voted for got in though.
I think one race was won by 9 votes? And FMD thinks that voting isn't important...

You'd think people controlling an $800M budget would get more traction than just 4% of registered voters. It's ridiculous.
Honestly, if I hadn't seen my neighbor that morning (who happened to be running) I would have completely forgotten about it.
This is one of those times I think that our media (TV, News, Web) need to be held publicly accountable. I know it takes up valuable column space, but I think they have a public duty as American institutions to exhort us as much as possible to pay attention to elections and such.

The Snooze reported a 4% turnout Very sad!
I wonder if more people would bother voting for school board candidates even if the vote was changed to a regular Nov. election?
Run5it actually has a point though.
Given the economic state in which we are currently in, Id say that the media has seriously dropped the ball as informing citizens. I mean after all, that IS their job, to inform citizens of the news, and voting on a major tax such as a school budget IS news.
Willful ignorance is the downfall of every major empire in history.
