Slavery has existed for many millenia, some forms were better than others. In fact, african slavery under the Islamic Caliphates in the middle east was much worse and lasted much longer than it did in the Americas.

But if the typical New Yorker is sooooooooo worried about the alleged "fleecing" of their community, why is the mayor so willing to be accommodating to illegal immigrants? The answer: Because he reflects the will of most of his constituents, who like their West Coast counterparts have learned the complex benefits vs cost dance that involves illegal immigrants.

I really don't think history shows that capitve populations are/were treated all that well.

If there was a buck to made,, I think the consequences were rather secondary.

Against one's will is bad enough. I think degrees matter not.

We my not have a huge problem here in WNY, but NYC does have a massive problem! NYC has about 500,000 Illegals, of which they use the NYC schools, NYC hospitals and many other welfare programs. Which as you know we are force to pay for!
