If someone is on welfare they should have social workers just drop in to their homes unexpectedly.

Simply put a limit (timewise) and add a few requirements like being a state resident for at least a year, once your on the system no NEW children can be added (MI did this and saw welfare births drop by huge numbers), further limit what food stamps can buy, reduce section 8 payments if you damage a house... You know things a 5 year old could think of!

They also have crazy high tax rates and it took the waitress over 15 min to get my first beer! Europe had a massive problem though with immigration, they have seen a huge influx of muslims who love popping out babies in the '80's and 90's. Because of this they have a HUGE teen and 20ish population that is unempolyed and very very poor. People in countries like France only work 24 to 30 hours a week because their isn't enough jobs. Do you remember the riots in Paris last year?

We spend over 400B a year to feed, cloth, shelter and care for illegals in this country! If the US really wanted to turn the economy arround, they would kick the illegals out and start drilling American oil now, that would keep over 800B in the US!

On a side note, if you ever go to Amsterdamn, order 2 beers at a time, they are slow!

When I was in the UK service wasn't bad. But they aren't completly socialist so maybe it's not a good comparison. If I go to amsterdamn I will probably be ordering something other than beer. But that's just me. haha

But yea illegals is probably the one thing I agree with you about for so many reasons. Drilling oil, not so much, I'd rather look for alternative sources of energy but that is another debate.

I am not against immigration, but our country is way to populated as it is, so we need strict laws. And the companies that employ them need to be held accountable too. Some of these companies use these people as cheap labor and then turn around and call INS on them. It's pretty ridiculous.

How do illegals qualify for Medicaid if they can't qualify for welfare? You have to provide proof of income (or lack of it) to qualify for either, and that means that you have to have a social security number, pay stubs, etc.

Illegals don't directly get medicaid, but they do go to ER's which will bill Medicaid for the service. You should do a little reading about Florida and how they had to keep an illegal on life support for a long period of time and it was legally allowed to bill medicaid for MILLIONS.

Last I checked, it was property flippers who were the ones who destroyed the housing market by artificially inflating housing prices, and then betting against the market performing well.
