Gimme Jimmy!
Ok, he's no Boy Scout and his admin wasn't perfect.
But you knew were you stood and there was no indecisive pussyfooting tolerated.
We'd probl'y have a bridge, a casino, and Rudnick would have had several black eyes by now.
Ok we know the mayor is useless. Seeing elections are coming up in the future and Tony M is not qualified, we should start now to find a canidate.
Who should we start a buzz about for his position, same goes for Giambra?
We need to set goals. No goals you end up with WNY and nothing ever really geting finished.
Hi Tony M and J Giambra! I think it's time you get off your arses and work in the best interest of the residents.
Tony.

The guy has a million bucks and growing. He can buy alot of influence. There are rumors of Hoyt and Brown running, but neither has much of a chance, in my eyes anyway. The Partnership/Giambra will try to influence an opponent, or if its Masiello, he will just be their puppet. What person would want the job? You've got a control board looking over every move, and a control freak, ego maniac for a county executive, that will criticize any move you make without his approval. Giambra is a cancer this city does not need, I mean the guy publicly lobbied albany not to send the city any money. That I find astounding. Funny when his own budget was/is in trouble, he went to albany begging for an early retirement bill, one unique to erie county, to help balance his books. I wonder if the Partnership used their influence to negate this action?? Doubt it,hes one of theirs. No handout - No bailout...doesn't apply when he is at the helm. Masiello will be the next Mayor, might as well get used to it.
Gimme Jimmy!
LOL- absolivious, you are right about Jimmy, but he just took his seat in the Common Council and wants to help the city from that place only. He only ran for Council to put opposition in the running for November- who'd have thunk he'd win again He loves what he's doing now in the council and is not looking to become mayor again.
There are rumors of Hoyt and Brown running
I have also heard of James Pitts running for mayor of Buffalo.
Can anyone confirm?

what qualifications make you think Jim Griffin would of actually acomplished a bridge, casino etc etc...
Seriously now...
If he was so good why isn't he still mayor? Wouldn't everyone of voted to keep him if items in general were being done?
What have they done for the resident that would qualify them to be the mayor of buffalo? DO they show any skills what so ever that would qualify them to manage the city services. There are rumors of Hoyt and Brown running

Jim Pitts being the mayor of Buffalo is like electing Gilligan to take the helm of the Titanic after it hit the iceberg.....
Does anybody seriously think that is a good idea?
Data is not the plural of Anecdote.
OH I thought they were being sarcastic about pitts running.
So what qualifications does he have then?
I will make a forum for each person running.
Who are the top 4 canidates to date?
James Pitts was just a name that was mentioned after the elections as someone who may consider running for mayor.
I did not hear it from Mr. Pitts himself as being a possible runner. That's why I had asked if anyone else heard it.
the possibilities SEEM endless anyway...
Rumored to be interested in running for Mayor of Buffalo in 2005:
(alphabetically)
Byron Brown
Judith Einach
Bruce Fisher
Rick Gattone
Kevin P. Gaughan
Kevin Helfer
Sam Hoyt
Masiello (i)
former Surrogate Joe Mattina (R)
Jim Pitts
former Supreme Court Judge Bob Whelan ( if he doesn't get a Supreme Court nod)
Any of these people ever owned a business?
Hoyt wants it because of the legacy issue. He feels his dad should have had it and he will pursue it for that reason.
Byron brown was a voice of reason on the counccil and seems to be doing what he can in Albany.
Your last two mayors came out of Albany. One was very active. One never sponsered any legislation at all.
Any guesses who did and didn't do thier job?

By the way, what happened to biker? I miss the old coot.
We'll we don't vote for a mayor for that reason.. If it's for the legacy issue i hope he doens't waste the tax payers time.Hoyt wants it because of the legacy issue. He feels his dad should have had it and he will pursue it for that reason.
