    Depew Village Board

Why is it that a representative of the Village Board has not made the past 6 meetings?
Bill Dillemuth was elected to the Village Board to serve the residents. If his Lawn Cutting job is too much for him, so that it interferes with his elected duties, THEN RESIGN. The Mayor is right. Eliminate his board position.
Save the taxpayers some money and eliminate the waste.
To the Village employees, Thank you! You do a terrific job!
    To Bill Dillemuth-RESIGN
to the Mayor- Do the right thing and eliminate this position, downsize and
hold the line on Taxes. Lets not become another Buffalo/Erie
    County.

So you can have his seat? So a more like minded old cronie can fill his seat?
Maybe if the old cronies would stop brow beating him for not bending to their whims, it would be easier to show up for meetings. Are you afraid because of the way he votes more like him will be elected? I certainly hope more people like him get voted in.
Do the people want free thinkers or sheep following the herd?

I don't want his seat. I voted for him!
I agree with you that more like him should be on the Village Board. However, I expect him to show up and do the job he was elected for! If for some reason he can't take the heat from 5 of his trustees, then he isn't strong enough to be in politics.
He was elected to represent-not hide! If he tried and failed, I could respect that, but not showing up, is proclaiming defeat.
Oh and by the way, I am not an old crony.
On second thought maybe I should run for his seat-I've never backed down from a good fight. At least the board and the voters would know I had their backs and interests at heart!
Would you sign my petition to run Mesue?
And by the way-HOW DOES HE VOTE-when he isn't there!

Can anyone give one good reason why the Village of Depew should even exist?

Half is in Lancaster, the other half in Cheektowaga.

Why does anyone need to live in two municipalities, and pay taxes accordingly??

It depends on who you are and whom else is running. There's only one person that would get my vote before anyone else hands down, but I don't know if he's running. If he's not running, I would have to know where you stand on issues before I would say yes.

Because, for some reason, we're not allowed to defect and be our own village.

It was made known at the Depew Board meeting Tuesday evening that Delemuth, a no show again, had his court conviction reduced to a misdemeanor and will now be under a two-year restraining order to stay away from his wife to prevent further abuse.

When questioned about the sentence, the mayor stated he wasn't aware of the situation and the Town Attorney said it wouldn't be advisable to talk about the report.

Not only should Delemuth and another trustee go, one has to wonder why this municipality has not already merged with the towns of Lancaster and Cheektowaga. The same goes with the Village of Lancaster.

    I whole heartedly agree.

Same for Sloan, Kenmore and all other local villages.
