but stuff like this never hits the news paper. good thing for us bloodhounds...

If Mrs.KLAFFKA wins her lawsuit against the TCEA for non representation I would have to say that small union would go “ bankrupt” due to the legal fees and the award payout. On the other two suits(state and federal) if she wins,
the payout could be millions on the discrimination charges.

Who is going to pay this bill? Again the taxpayers(me) and I am sure it's all over stupidity on the towns part. It will be hard not to prove that she is disabled with MS. Wasteful government spending!!!

Don't forget these numbers don't take into account the equalization rate=
    2011 RankMunicipality201020092008
    1West Seneca17.2517.3917.38
    2Town of Cheektowaga15.1514.5314.17
    3Village of Sloan (Cheektowaga) 13.8813.3113.09
    4Village of Williamsville (Cheektowaga)13.8713.3113.09
    5Town of Tonawanda (Homestead)13.5513.2912.38
    6Village of Depew (Cheektowaga)12.4811.9911.72

    8Evans7.817.6612.53

2010 Tax on a $150,000 home without Special Districts-
    West Seneca - $1164.38 (46% Equal rate)
Town of Cheektowaga - $1408.95 (62% Equal rate)
Village of Sloan (Cheek) - $1290.84 (62% Equal rate)
Village of Williamsville (Cheek) - $1289.91 (62% Equal rate)
Town of Tonawanda (Homestead) - $985.76 (48.5% Equal rate)
Village of Depew (Cheek) - $1160.64 (62% Equal rate)
Town of Evans - $1171.50 (100% Equal rate)

    So the chart should read-
    1. Town of Cheektowaga, Tax rate $15.15, Tax-$1408.95
    2. Village of Sloan (Cheek), Tax rate $13.88, Tax- $1290.84
    3. Village of Williamsville (Cheek), Tax rate $13.87, Tax - $1289.91
    4. Town of Evans, Tax rate $7.81, Tax - $1171.50
    5. Town of West Seneca, Tax rate $17.25, Tax- $1164.38
    6. Village of Depew (Cheek), Tax rate $12.48, Tax- $1160.64
    7. Town of Tonawanda (Homestead), Tax rate $13.55, Tax - $985.76

Then there are 3 villages that get village tax

    Depew - Tax rate $18.22, Tax $1694.46 + $1160.64 (town tax)=$2855.10
    Sloan- Tax rate $16.27, Tax $1513.11 + $1290.84 (town tax)= $2803.95
    Williamsville- Tax rate $6.73, Tax $625.89 + $1289.91 (town tax)= $1915.80

    YIKES!
For the same amount of taxes paid for town and village taxes in Sloan and Depew, you could have your town and school taxes paid in Clarence and Elma.

This is something that I am determined to work on and fix if elected as Depew trustee. Get out and vote on March 15.

low taxes in Clarence and Elma

HaHa, first ring suburbanite taxpayers - the joke is on us!

As you know, neither Clarence or Elma have their own police departments. Sloan, Depew, West Seneca and Cheektowaga pay beaucoup bucks for police protection while Clarence and Elma use the heavily-manned Sheriff's Department and State Police as their force.

Now, I'm sure those municipalities must bear some of the costs associated with that protection, but I am also sure that it is nowhere near what is paid by the taxpayers of West Seneca and Cheektowaga! What saps we are!
