    Cool

I do not accept the wide, sweeping brush of blaming "career politicians" for the many problems facing towns like West Seneca.

I know some "career politicians" that I trust to the extreme. They are good, honest, hardworking people who believe in what they do and do their very best for the people they represent.

West Seneca is an exception to the "rules" of party politics. In most towns, you can be friends with the opposition, but when election time comes, you are on one side or the other. People understand and accept that reality.

Unfortunately, WS has "morphed" into one big political gang, oblivious to these "rules", where some people of the two sides had joined together against a common "enemy", which was the team of Chris Walsh and Barbara Rudnicki. They have ended that battle, but remained one team of different affiliations.

Now, with new people looking to join the group, these old alignments will prove to be difficult to retain.

Good. It is time they end, and time for the political world returns to it's regular axis in West Seneca.

I for one, am not willing to just accept what is handed me. We have the power to control our future.

I would propose to the WS residents who read this blog, and others who would be interested, to get together to discuss how we can make changes in the Town politics. Find individuals interested in filling the TB seats, and this is the BIG COMMITMENT, work throughout the Town to get them elected.

I am currently mulling the idea of running. I am tired of a Town controlled by special interests, with little or no regard for the people.

We need to find people willing to step up to the -plate and take a swing at the ball, or we'll never win the game.

Tina Bove started out with fire in her belly but that has fizzled out. Have you seen her lately? She is also tied to the hip of Sandra (Giese) Rosenswie, a person who has been thrown out of three political parties for shady dealings.
Look what were getting with Cynthia Locklear ( nothing). She has Sandra as her assistant. Were being snowed guys. Get a fresh new face in government here. We'll find someone who will look out for us. Give it a little time.

    OK.

First off, how long have you lived in WS? (You say you just moved from Amherst.) People are always "suspect" of a "newcomer".

Why "Psycho1"? That would concern me, that a town official calls him/herself Psycho....

What party? Dems? Clark's brother is the Chair. GOP? Greenans control.

Independence? Sandy Geise controls. Conservative? Talk to Ralph Lorigo.

    OK, you ask I answer.
Moved here almost 4 years ago. Reason, got married to woman who lived here and wanted to stay.

The name. In my profession, I am constantly asked questions that a person would need to be psychic to answer. My response has become "I'm not psychic; I'm psychotic, there's a difference and that's why I work here". Basically an inside joke to those who know me. Besides, Big Guy was taken. Also, I work in a highly political company, which can have an effect.

Last, I am a registered Dem, but raised to think for myself. A strong headed Irishman, who won't allow anyone to stick their hand up my ass and move my mouth. If the only people able to reach a position to make a difference, have to be selected by the "special people" and we the people allow it, then we should turn off our computers, stop complaining, and follow along like good little lemmings.

I think my signature explains my resolve.

    Anything else?

Perhaps you already are, and don't know it. Just as I don't know if I've met you.

You seem from your posts to be astute and well informed as to the ways of WS. Maybe a time will arise when we should meet to discuss similarities in philosophies.

If I were to choose to run for office I will need any and all the help I can get to accomplish the mission.

Every great revolution started with one small act of defiance

and so it begins, with that one small act of defiance

Psycho and Big Guy at some point I believe that I would like to meet you both. I do have aspirations to lead West Seneca in the right direction and as you put it Big Guy I am "astute" to some of the political ways.

I will abstain from my criticism of career politicians and admit that you are 100% correct. There are some elected officials who have served our community well during their careers. I am however of the mindset that as the Constitution states, elected officials should serve the public and then return to their private lives, I am not in favor of this being someones only career.

Pick a direction and go with it. It will be a fight to unseat either of the two incumbent councilmen, however, Osmanski came to office under the banner of electing someone new. So change can and should occur

Some of the changes in WS can be accomplished by bringing the owners of various empty commercial properties to task on the condition of those properties. We can start with the former Seneca Mall site and continue up Ridge to Seneca for a start. Just because a building is empty, does not remove responsibility for it's condition. Perhaps the old Tops on Ridge could be turned into the WSPD. God knows the space they're in is a bit cramped, and it would place them closer to the city line where a majority of the problems are.

Given the economic conditions of this area as a whole, it is imperative we exercise specific intent in every action taken. The utilization of existing structures should come before the construction of new, when practical. Incentives could be given for renovation of these buildings.

We must get the people involved as a community in order to sustain the quality of life we enjoy. New developments, businesses, and buildings can only be considered with the impact of the residents surrounding that site. Ordinances established to insure good neighbor relations between the residential and business communities.

    How's that for a start?

How about Wroblewski, for supervisor and Charlie Markel from So. Cheektowaga, business owner in W. Seneca for 16 years, as Leg. That is a win win for Cheektowaga and West Seneca.
