For what it's worth, Bove was great when she first got involved in West Seneca politics, but talk on the streets says she's already sold out - she may not be as wonderful as some people think.

But, on the other hand, anyone is better than Clark.

I agree about BOVE she got into gov. for the right reasons, then she tied in with GIESE WE all know about Giese she wants a park named for her dad in W.Seneca he was known by the last generation the Giese name for this generation does not deserve to have a park named GIESE. Watch out if people she backs get in that is the price a park named GIESE. plus how much$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ can she get for her W.Seneca P.A.C her real Indpendece P.A.C. or Friends of Sandy (GIESE)Rosenswie. P.A.C. none filed or reported just cash for her.

You are so right Ben There.Tina Bove and Cynthia Locklear were drawn into the Sandra Geise web and and filled with venom. They are soon to self destruct. Everything Sandra touches is tainted. Talk it up in our Town and you will hear all the real truths of this women. Everyone knows of her and I don't know how she can hold her head up when she runs into certain people. No one respects her they just listen and then walk away.

Bove is smart! She is a true reformer but she knows who's a_s she has to kiss to get the endorsement (not Gieses). Bove will win and she will change things in West Seneca but Giese will turn on her just like she is doing with Weinstein and Konst. She is going to kill Locklear. Locklear will not get the Indepence or Democratic endorsement this year, and the Town will be full of Giese haters when petition time comes around. The only thing that could save locklear is Clark not getting the endorsement and then teaming up with Locklear.

I am afraid that Christina Bove and Sandra Giese are known to be tied at the hip. This will surely kill Christina's chances to become elected in any office in West Seneca much less Supervisor. They are seen everywhere together at political places. I don't know who is using who. Does Sandra want to be seen with Christina or does Christina want to be seen with Sandra? Sandra is poison. Live and learn Christina.

Sandy has a good heart. I'm not on her team anymore but it isn't because she is a bad person. I believe she truly wants our community to thrive and is willing to be at the front taking every ones shots to make it happen. If the Dems weren't fighting her so hard in WS then she might make some headway.

FJB- It seems you are a victim of Sandra Giese too. I'm going back 40 years. She and her best friend in the whole wide world are the sneakiest politicians in West Seneca are now and always have been. I heard about her fundraiser and it was a bust. The only ones showing were the candidates that she intimidated and the insurgents and one guy out of curiosity. He told me over coffee this morning. Someone should tell those candidates to get a set and say ( Sandra) NO DEAL!!! HOWIE.

    Cool

Dale McCabe, although a nice guy, is too busy running the Southgate Plaza to run the town, also.

I think (or hope) people in WS have had enough of a "no-show Supervisor" after 15+ years of Paul Clark.

Hey Big Guy- Do you have anyone in mind? I can't think of anyone. We need
somebody that has the interest of West Seneca in mind.Certainly not Locklear or Bove. They have a certain agenda.

    Lightbulb Paul Clark

The people of West Seneca deserve a Town Supervisior that will actually show up for work in our Town; I tried many times to contact Mr. Clark at the Town hall only to be told that he's not in right now; he's to busy trying to feather his own nest to be our Town supervisor; I just wonder if the people of Erie County are silly enough to vote for him for County Ex. Lets all pray he just goes away.

Lightbulb Time to change the whole lot

The next Supervisor of WS, can only make a difference provided that, that person is beholding only to the residents, and not the special interests who fund most office holders. This can be a daunting task, given the amount of money that a person, with a financial stake in the outcome, will "donate" to a candidate. As well, many people in the Town will vote only along party lines giving most "outsiders" a tough go. The time has come for a true grass roots campaign for a candidate regardless of party, with the stones to look out for the interest of the people of West Seneca. This is also true of the Town Board seats that will open this year.
Most of this influence is apparent when a certain conservative attorney brings anything before the board. Look at the town minutes and you'll see he will eventually receive a unanamous vote for projects he represents. Read the names of people recently hired and compare those names to the contributors of candidates.
Unfortunately, even with a grass roots campaign there will someone or a group of someones who will feel that the candidate "owes" them. Any candidate will need the ability to make it clear that the work of the Town is for the good of the many and not the wants of a few.
The fact remains, West Seneca needs change, and with any paradigm shift someone will be offended.

Psyco1: In my opinion, political parties will always have influence in any political campaign. However, I believe that candidates can win, especially at a town level despite political influence. Candidates that work hard during the campaign, by going door to door and delivering their have been highly effective. People like the personal touch and will remember the candidate, especially if they say something the voter wants to hear. In terms of favors being granted once the politician is in office, I think that only goes so far. There comes a time when the politician recognizes that he or she will maintain office only if he works in the best interests of the people. Too many strikes against any one politician and they lose the next time around.

ILUVNY: No doubt, hard work during the campaign process is critical, and the failure to work in the interest of the people is key to maintaining office. However, it seems as though here in West Seneca it is difficult to to be part of the process if your not a member of Clark's circle. And if you should crack that shell, you have to fall in line to be effective. Of course, I can only speak based on my experience with Mr. Clark and Town government. My experience has been that he will listen and patronize, give the impression of caring and even ask someone to look into your issue. However, when you uncover facts that prove you're right, and the correct measure might be costly for one of Mr. Clarks contributors, the process is slow to be corrected.
My sincerest hope is that a person is elected, willing to make the difficult choices facing the survival of our community.
