I have Allstate. I use it for many reasons among them is they give a great multiple policy discount. I was told they were high for the homeowners, but when I checked with other companies, only one came close for the coverage I have. The rest were higher and it would have raised my auto because of loosing a policy in the discount. I cannot complain. My agent is local and not a broker, he only sells Allstate. I have been with his office (his father first) for @ 20yrs. Anytime I have a problem, like when a tree crashed into the house, they are right there.
I did check for better deals on auto at one time. I would have had to sacrifice alot of service to save a few bucks. It wasn't worth it for me.

I switched to Allstate a few years ago. I have better coverage at a better price. The office is local, they send me emails with updates and it's easy to pay online.

We have allstate to. Business insurance, car and home stuff. Discounts across the board because we have multiple policies. I have had allstate for my car insurance since I was 16.

I have the same agent also...but... Allstate has been raising the premiums almost 10% plus the last few years on their Landlords' Policies..even though I have not made any claims....getting ridiculous!
Starting to shop around...maybe I can bundle/blanket a dozen or more policies and save some dough!
    worth looking into!

Same here. Let me know how your search turns out. I'm gonna start looking for a replacement on the landlord policies too.

I don't have any rental properties, so I haven't had that problem. I did have the house insurence go up slightly, but it was only because some improvements had been done. It had to be adjusted accordingly.

We have Allstate also. We have various policies and found Allstate to be in line with their prices.

I like the one shop idea.

If you are price sensitive, I have a quote service that will pull a few companies for you to quote with.

When you use a quote marketplace, you will find that the response is generally fast. The companies know that they are competing for your business.
