Okay, moved my signs. Believe they are legal now. Lined them up with the house side of the utility poles.
Suddenly, on the front page of the Town's website, there is this.
Looking at Chapter 50-30, it states -Signs and Sign Placement
Signs and Sign Placement
Please review Chapter 50-30 for requirements of sign placement.
Signs on public property, utility poles and R.O.W.'s may be removed and discarded.
I don't know the exact location of the right-of-way on a county road without sidewalks. I'm going to contact code enforcement for the answer before my signs suddenly disappear.(3) Signs on public property. No sign shall be placed in any street right-of-way or on other public property unless specifically authorized.

Most towns have laws prohibiting all signs, including election signs, on the public right-of-way.
And most towns and candidates, including those running for town judge or county judge, or supreme court judge blatantly ignore the law.
Laws are for the little people.
