Nice "Grand Opening" in West Seneca
Last night (April 6th) the West Seneca Youth Bureau held a grand opening at the "Metz House", a 165+ year old house rebuilt by the West Seneca Americorp and West Seneca "Youth Build" groups. It is a very impressive reuse of an historic old building.
Mark Lazzara should be commended for his artful blending of local, state & federal $$ to do some great work.
Heather (sorry, Cindy) Locklear's Legislative office is upstairs in the building.
Every democratic pol from the area was there. One guy made a joke about being the only Republican in the room.
But then, there is no Republican party in West Seneca, only the Greenan/Clark team puppets.
Here's an idea! Why not PM me when you post a thread comment

If so wouldnt this be considered PORK!
Otherwise I may not find it.
Anyway, sorry to disappoint you CheekFan; but not a single penny of County Funds paid for the rehab of the Metz home. All state or Federal $$ from what I understand and all appropriated before I ever entered the scene. Sorry... no smell of pork here, at least not related to me or my term.
I try to stop in at least once every day...

"One term Wonder" is the phrase I am hearing around town lately....
BigGuy, is this how you measure the worth of a lawmaker? How much "face time" they put in? Ok, I guess you get what you expect.
BTW: your facts are wrong. I dont work for a law firm. I work for a manufacturing company... and I dont work there full time any longer... only 24Hours a week.
If I end up as a "One Term Wonder" so be it. At least I am standing up for the People and not any special interests or political machines, just as I promised.
something smells like rotten pork.
the dmv office in orchard park was one of the most used offices they had. it also had a large parking lot. so why rob one town to give another benifits. this just moves the dmv closer to the existing office in cheek. why not leave it in orchard park or some other real south town. OP EA or hamburg would serve the south towns better then WS.
some how this seems odd. it has a funny smell to it like favors being paid off or something. leave well enough alone and but the Dmv back in its old offices.
first the Dmv was too poor to have more then one office but now they can have two offices close together cheek and Ws are next to each other spread out the dmv offices so all can benifit.
