The Fallsville Splash Park, one of the largest remaining parcels in the heart of the Seneca Nation of Indians sovereign territory in Niagara Falls, has been acquired by the tribe.

The Seneca Nation and its Seneca Gaming Corp. arm have purchased the 18-acre splash park property from Niagara Falls Redevelopment, a private sector group that is working on various economic development efforts in the Cataract City.

I knew this was going to happen.

Now here is what I predicted would come next.

Most likely with the way things are run in this city they will tear it down and put up another parking lot.

People say good riddance but those are the people that can just up and go to some other place because they acn afford the **** and they live in Lasalle and dont give 2 ****s about downtown.

The reason the splash park was closed for so long was not the fault of the community, but because of the lazy ass politicians that didnt feel like paying the bills.

Now lots of people have had WONDERFUL ideas but as normal in this city its everyones job to shut the **** up and take it in the ass.

People have been telling someone to put a dome over it for YEARS!

Y E A R S!!!

If the Senecas were smart they would dome it and allow the people in the hotel as well as the people in the community to use it, that way they can make money...

I hope they build a giant middle finger on the land, in loving dedication to Albany. Now THAT would be a cool tourist attraction! :D

Is the Fallsview Splash Park open this year, or was it just open in 2005?

No, it was only open last year, so that the guy who bought it could sell it to the Senecas.

Now the Senecas have it and it will become a parking lot
