Spyware icon?

Just noticed a new icon down at the bottom right corner of my screen (tray?). It wont let me right or left click on it, so I dont know what its called. So how do I identify/remove this program off my comp?

if you hover your cursor over the icon for about 5 seconds (without clicking at all), does any description pop up?

Nope. Nothin'. Malware? Spyware?

Try rebooting first to see if it comes back after startup, to see if it's not just some temporary program that's frozen.

If it comes back and still won't give you a description of itself, msconfig can show you everything that runs on Startup. Click Start - Run - type "msconfig" - click Startup tab.

Once you have that list, you can identify the suspicious ones and research them online to find out what they are. (don't disable them until you're sure. Don't disable any windows programs like SystemTray, TaskMonitor, or Windows Explorer.)
