Well seeing I ordered the pro edge sharpening kit I was put on someone's email list.

SO I figured I see what this knife kit was like.

The unit needs to be assembled

even comes with the tools

All the parts are machined and ready to go. You can still buff them out a little bit more.

The handle looks a little hacked out. Could of been rounded and sanded better than it was

They have double sided tape on the back but epoxy glue would definately be better

Assembly is straight forward

Just assemble the stand offs with the supplied screws

Make sure you use the proper lenth screws. One side uses a screw a tad longer than the other.

put the hinge screw in, the washer and blade

THere are some tight spots

The locking arm worked it's way down after a while to lock the blade. I would recommend polished it up so when you want to release the blade it slides smoothly.

Screw the clip on:

screw the wooden front on and you have a completed knife.

The blade

The blade is mirror polished high carbon cobalt core and is coated in stainless steel. It should have excellent edge retention once sharpened. It's sharp but not sharp enough :)

It will now be taken apart and polished up. Will probably make a new wood piece for it. I'll use the piece that came with the knife as a template. It's fine but sort of crappy workmanship.
